Troubleshooting Failed Payments at Checkout

If your payment does not go through during the checkout process, follow the steps below to resolve the issue. Each point includes important details to help ensure a successful transaction.

Step 1: Review Your Card Information

Start by double-checking the details you entered during checkout. Make sure that:

  • The card number is correct.
  • The cardholder's name matches the one printed on the card.
  • The CVC (security code) is entered accurately.
  • Any required verification code or security step has been completed.

Step 2: Ensure Your Card Supports 3D Secure

Only cards that support 3D Secure authentication (such as Verified by Visa or MasterCard SecureCode) can be used successfully. If your card does not support 3D Secure, you may encounter problems completing the payment.

Step 3: Use an Accepted Card Type

We currently accept only Visa and MasterCard. If you are using a different card type (such as American Express) it will not be accepted during checkout.

Step 4: Try an Alternative Payment Method

If your payment still fails, consider using one of the following alternative options:

  • Another Accepted Card: Try a different Visa or MasterCard.
  • PayPal: You can select PayPal as your payment method. Even if you do not have a PayPal account, you can choose the "Pay with a card" option on the PayPal login page. This allows you to complete the transaction using your debit or credit card without creating a PayPal account.
  • Bank Transfer: In some regions, we may support direct bank transfers. Please check if this option is available during checkout.
  • Klarna: If available in your country, Klarna offers flexible payment options, including pay later or installment plans. Look for Klarna as a payment method at checkout.

Step 5: Contact Your Bank

If you are using an accepted card and all details are correct but the payment still fails, contact your bank or card issuer. Ask them to confirm that the transaction is not being blocked or flagged for security reasons.

Step 6: If You Were Charged but No Order Was Placed

In the rare event that money was withdrawn from your account but no order was placed, please contact our support team. Include a screenshot of the transaction or payment confirmation showing the amount and date. This will help us verify the issue and process a refund promptly.

What happens if the order is shipped but the order was not paid (the payment failed or was not captured?)

If you notice the order was not paid, please transfer the outstanding amount to Amway. Make sure you enter your ABO number and the order number in the payment reference. If Amway spots the payment was unsuccessful, the outstanding amount will be allocated as negative saldo that needs to be covered with the bank transfer or with your next order.
