[Switzerland Specific] Social Security & Insurance

Provide a Social Security Number (SSN) in Switzerland

Submit a Social Security Number During Registration

All Amway Business Owners (ABOs) can provide their Social Security Number (SSN) during registration. However, providing an SSN is not mandatory at the time of registration.

If an ABO does not provide an SSN and later reaches a specified income threshold, the ABO will be required to submit the missing SSN.

What Happens if the SSN Is Not Provided?

If the required SSN is not submitted after reaching the income threshold:

  • Bonus payments will be temporarily suspended.
  • Any unpaid bonuses will be held until the SSN is provided.
  • Once the SSN has been submitted, the withheld bonuses will be paid out.

Choose Tax at Source Status

Foreign nationals living in Switzerland who do not hold Swiss citizenship may choose the "tax at source" option during registration.

After Selecting Tax at Source

Once registration is completed with the tax at source option:

  1. Amway will send an email to the ABO.
  2. The ABO must specify their applicable tariff group.
  3. The tariff group information is required for correct tax processing.

Request Family Allowance and Report Accidents

As Amway deducts social security contributions from ABO income, ABOs may be eligible to request family allowance benefits and report accidents through Amway.

Apply for a Family Allowance

ABOs can apply for a family allowance by contacting Amway Customer Service.

Family Allowance Process

  1. Contact Amway Customer Service and request a family allowance application.
  2. Amway processes the request.
  3. Once approved, the family allowance is included in the ABO's monthly bonus statement.
  4. The allowance amount is paid together with the bonus payment.

Family Allowance Amount

  • The approved allowance amount is determined and communicated by the external advisor.
  • The amount paid will be reflected in the monthly bonus statement.

Report an Accident

ABOs can report accidents to Amway.

Accident Reporting Process

  1. Inform Amway about the accident.
  2. Amway is required to notify Schweizerische Mobiliar Versicherungsgesellschaft.
  3. Complete the necessary accident report form.

Obtain an Accident Report Form

The accident report form can be obtained by:

  • Downloading it directly from the website of Schweizerische Mobiliar Versicherungsgesellschaft, or
  • Requesting it through Amway Customer Service.
