1. Expiration Date on Product Packaging
- For most products, the expiration date is printed near the acronym “EXP”.
- This information is typically found on the bottom of the package or near the barcode.
2. Expiration on Personal Care, Skincare, and Makeup Products
These products often do not show a fixed calendar expiration date. Instead, they use the PAO (Period After Opening) symbol:
- Represented as an open jar icon with a number followed by the letter “M” (e.g., 6M, 12M)
- Example:
- 6M = Use within 6 months after opening
- 12M = Use within 12 months after opening
